An important task of the FGHO is to connect researchers and promote cooperation in various areas of research: in research projects, in reviewing existing research or developing new research foundations, and in establishing research contacts in the field of Hanse history and Northern European economic history. We aim to be the centre of a networked Hanseatic research community at an international level with interdisciplinary connections.
