The library of the Research Centre for Hanse and Baltic History (FGHO) and of the European Hansemuseum in Lübeck houses a special collection of publications on the history of the German Hanse and related topics in economic, social, urban and political history.
The library holds a collection of approximately 3.500 books and about 10 scholarly journals. It is possible to search the collection via the GVK-OPAC. Another approximately 3.000 print-offs are catalogued in a different register that can be accessed on site.
Our library is a reference library only. It is therefore not possible to take the books outside the building . We have study desks available at the library to read in-house. If you wish to use the library, please make an appointment: info@fgho.eu
A list of introductory literature on the history of the Hanse can be found here (mostly in German).
